THOR : RAGNAROK - This is the best of Thor !

THOR : RAGNAROK

Among the major heroes of Marvel's Cinematic Universe, Thor is sad to say, the least popular. Why ???Because his past two solo outings are kinda serious, and dark. In comes New Zealand Comedy Director Taika Waititi giving Thor a fresh new take. Add the giant green monster to the mix and what have you got ? A Thor movie that's absolutely funny, full of action and totally lots of fun ! Based on the title alone, you might think that this could be dark and heavy as Ragnarok is supposed to mean the end of the Asgardian world. But what the heck ???!!!!!! I've never enjoyed watching Thor this much !

Coming off from two comedy films - Vacation, and Ghostbusters, Chris Hemsworth is at his best comedic self here. It's like seeing a different side of the actor. Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk also showed a different facet of his character. The Hulk is not just grunting and destroying things, he's also talking ! He's like a Big Kid having a convo with his playmate. The movie is not all laughs though. There's lots of hard-core action too ! The battle between Thor & Hulk is nothing short of epic proportions !

Oscar winner Cate Blanchett as the Goddess of Death is evil as hell, thus the name Hela. She's a great villain ! Her antler-like head dress would make a great costume for the next Halloween. However, I think she could have done more given the right treatment of her character. While Jeff Goldblum as the colorful Grandmaster of the planet Sakaar is hilarious in a crazy weird way. Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie is a revelation. She almost stole the show ! She sure made her mark on this one !

Watch out for the many cameos of popular actors throughout the movie. This is the best amongst all of Thor's appearances ! And certainly high up there among the top Marvel films !
