Apple Original Films has unveiled a new featurette, “An Inside Look”,  for Martin Scorsese’s highly anticipated “Killers of the Flower Moon.” Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro and Lily Gladstone, “Killers of the Flower Moon” will premiere in theaters around the world, including IMAX® theaters, on October 18.

At the turn of the 20th century, oil brought a fortune to the Osage Nation, who became some of the richest people in the world overnight. The wealth of these Native Americans immediately attracted white interlopers, who manipulated, extorted, and stole as much Osage money as they could before resorting to murder. Based on a true story and told through the improbable romance of Ernest Burkhart (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Mollie Kyle (Lily Gladstone), “Killers of the Flower Moon” is an epic western crime saga, where real love crosses paths with unspeakable betrayal. Families and their furry friends came together to break the record for “Most Dogs Attending A Film Screening,” with 219 dogs watching a special early screening of PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie at Autry Museum in Griffith Park. The “paw-dience” included pups of all shapes and sizes, like tiny breeds, big breeds, and lovable mutts. An official adjudicator from GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS, Michael Empric, was on hand to present the official certificate, recognizing the record-setting audience and overtaking the previous record set in October 2022 with 199 dogs. “I was so excited to adjudicate this Guinness World Records attempt for most dogs attending a film screening. It’s not every day I get to enjoy an ‘Officially Amazing’ time at the movies with hundreds of furry friends. I’d like to congratulate Paramount Pictures & PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie for their ‘paw-some’ new record title!”

Starring some of the biggest names in the Japanese creative industry, season two will see the return of Yuya Yagira as police officer Daigo Agawa; Show Kasamatsu as Keisuke Goto, the head of the Goto family; and Riho Yoshioka as Yuki Agawa, Daigo’s strong and supportive wife. “ELEMENTAL” IS THE MOST VIEWED MOVIE PREMIERE ON DISNEY+ OF 2023

 

Philippines. September 19, 2023 – Disney and Pixar's Elemental made its streaming debut in a blaze of glory. 

Elemental is the most watched movie premiere of the year on Disney+ and among its Top 10 movie premieres of all time, earning 26.4 million views in its first five days of streaming. Directed by Peter Sohn, produced by Denise Ream, and executive produced by Pete Docter, the original feature film is set in Element City, where Fire-, Water-, Earth-, and Air-residents live together. The story follows the quick-witted and fiery Ember (voiced by Leah Lewis), whose friendship with the sappy and go-with-the-flow Wade (voiced by Mamoudou Athie) challenges not only her beliefs about the world they live in, but the person she wants to be.

In its first five days of streaming, Elemental has become the most viewed animated movie premiere since Disney and Pixar's Turning Red was released in March 2022, as well as the most viewed Disney+ movie premiere of all time in Latin America, just ahead of Turning Red.

Released in June, the film also saw theatrical success, earning $484 million worldwide with a 93% Rotten Tomatoes Verified Audience Score and an "A" CinemaScore. In the US, the film generated $154 million—more than five times its domestic opening weekend of $30 million, a rare feat for any theatrical release and the second-highest multiple behind Disney and Pixar's Toy Story (1995). Internationally, the film brought in $330 million and had a particularly strong showing in South Korea, becoming Pixar's most-seen film in the country. 

 

The Elemental screenplay is by John Hoberg & Kat Likkel and Brenda Hsueh, with story by Sohn, Hoberg & Likkel, and Hsueh. Ronnie del Carmen, Shila Ommi, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Catherine O'Hara, Mason Wertheimer, and Joe Pera round out the film's voice cast.
