About Jurassic World Rebirth

A new era is born. This summer, three years after the Jurassic World trilogy concluded with each film surpassing $1 billion at the global box office, the enduring Jurassic series evolves in an ingenious new direction with Jurassic World Rebirth.

Anchored by iconic action superstar Scarlett Johansson, Emmy and SAG nominee Jonathan Bailey and two-time Oscar® winner Mahershala Ali, this action-packed new chapter sees an extraction team race to the most dangerous place on Earth, an island research facility for the original Jurassic Park, inhabited by the worst of the worst that were left behind. Also starring acclaimed international stars Rupert Friend and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, the film is directed by dynamic visualist Gareth Edwards (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) from a script by original Jurassic Park screenwriter David Koepp.

Five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion, the planet’s ecology has proven largely inhospitable to dinosaurs. Those remaining exist in isolated equatorial environments with climates resembling the one in which they once thrived. The three most colossal creatures across land, sea and air within that tropical biosphere hold, in their DNA, the key to a drug that will bring miraculous life-saving benefits to humankind.

Jurassic World Rebirth is directed by BAFTA winner Edwards from a script by Koepp (War of the Worlds), based on characters created by Michael Crichton. The film is produced by Oscar® nominee Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley, both longtime Jurassic franchise producers and of last summer’s blockbuster, Twisters. The film is executive produced by Steven Spielberg, Denis L. Stewart and Jim Spencer.

TP STEP is a key initiative of the Impact Sourcing program of TP in the Philippines, which provides underprivileged individuals access to future-ready skills and rewarding careers in the contact center industry. It underscores the company’s commitment to the realization of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) by providing meaningful employment and opportunities for marginalized groups, such as Persons with Disabilities PWDs), individuals from underserved communities, long-term unemployed individuals, and former Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs).

Since its launch in 2023, TP STEP has successfully partnered with 25 community-based organizations, LGUs, NGOs, and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) training centers to pilot TP STEP.

A key achievement of TP STEP is its partnership with Pasig City in 2024, which delivered a remarkable 88% hire rate, demonstrating the program's effectiveness in connecting individuals with employment opportunities.

Following the success in Pasig, TP aims to expand the program to other cities and provinces including Quezon City, Taguig City, Pampanga, and Davao.

The initiative envisions providing a learning journey with practical exercises through an Olympiad-level competition for the participants to advance their skills as the next communications professionals.

A champion of talent development, COMCO Mundo League of Enterprises was awarded in 2024 with the much-coveted Global IABC Gold Quill Award for Communication Training and Education for its long-running and industry-renowned Camp COMCO Mentorship Program. The Communications Olympiad is another student initiative of IABC Philippines in partnership with COMCO School of Communications and is distinct from the Philippine Student Quill Awards. The Student Quill Awards highlights performance and results through a competitive recognition platform while The Communications Olympiad centers on hands-on learning and guided experience culminating in a competition.

Inaugural Theme: Rewrite Climate Change

This year’s Olympiad revolves around the theme: "Rewrite Climate Change." The focus is not on developing scientific solutions but on reshaping the narrative and practices surrounding climate change through effective communication. Participants are called to inform, educate, and inspire, emphasizing the role of storytelling and advocacy in driving awareness, shifting behaviors, and fostering collective action.

As a nation and part of a region being among the most vulnerable to climate impacts yet contributing minimally to global emissions, the Philippines provides a critical perspective in this conversation. The initiative urges to help build communication strategies open to be adopted and applied for the benefit on a realistic scale for a secured sustainable future through purposeful communication.

Learning Journey: Training, Activities and Competition

The program will have three phases: the Qualifier Phase, the Elimination Round, and the Grand Championship. Each team can be comprised of a project leader, a writer, a designer, a head researcher, and a lead presenter. The chosen team representing the school will need to submit their position paper and an entry form which information can be accessed through website www.comcomundo.com/the-communications-olympiad/. The requirements shall then be emailed to communicationsolympiad@comcomundo.com on or before March 14, 2025. The position papers which serve as Qualifier Phase entries will be thoroughly evaluated and 30 finalists and participants will be selected to proceed to the Elimination Round.

The second phase which is the Elimination Round will comprise of pilot class and training sessions which will be made available to participants to help them build the expected skills set for the program. This shall include the Best Practices in Communications, the Role of Communications in Environment Conservation, and Innovations in Communications. Afterwards, the participants will be briefed and be given 24 hours to create a 10-slide communications plan which will be deliberated to see the best works to proceed to the final round.

The final phase is the Grand Championship where the 15 finalists strained from the 30 participants will get a chance to vie for the category medals. At this junction, the top 3 finalists will be announced to present their communication plan to the jury composed of experts in the industry. One team will emerge The Communications Olympiad Grand Champion, along with the first and second runners-up. Exciting prizes await the top winners along with a prestigious trophy that their schools will bring home!

“It feels like you’re having a reunion with a friend.” Renée Zellweger makes an emotional return as Bridget Jones in “Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy”

Opens in PH cinemas on Valentine’s week, Feb 12

Two-time Academy Award winner Renée Zellweger feels like returning to Bridget Jones, even after all these years, is like coming home. “In the books, on the screen, it feels like you’re having a reunion with your friend,” Zellweger says. “It’s such an interesting thing for a fictional character to move through life at the same pace as the folks who relate to her and love her. People feel that they can see themselves reflected in Bridget’s life experiences. They want to meet up with her again to see how she’s grown and how her life has changed—how she’s dealing with her current challenges. This is felt universally by those who have grown up with Bridget.”

Watch the trailer: https://tinyurl.com/2b69nzny

For director Michael Morris, Zellwegger is captivating and has always embodied the charm and wonder of Bridget Jones, and was excited to work with her for Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy. “Renée is one of these people who is absolutely herself,” Morris says. “She’s wildly friendly and bursts through any preconception you may have about what a Hollywood star is like. This woman has been in all my favorite films. For as long as I can remember, character after character—from comedies and dramas to musicals, there’s nothing that she doesn’t do. But when you’re talking to her, she’s completely present. I think that’s why she’s so wonderful in this role.”

Director Morris also feels like seeing Zellwegger back in this role is a blessing in itself. “What Renée brings to Bridget is this wonderfully relentless optimism and positivity,” Morris says. “You get the sense that Bridget cares about the people that she’s with…and that Bridget wants things to be perfect for everyone. Renée radiates that.”

In the continuation of Bridget Jones’ story, her life has completely changed, and it comes with its own struggles. Zellwegger feels like it’s a chance to connect with the audience that grew up with the film, and the universal experience of falling in love and forging relationships with people. lf. “It’s funny, I can chronicle my own decades and life experiences around making these films with the extended Bridget family,” Zellweger says. “It’s always very emotional when we get back together with true friends, and more so when we leave. There is a correlation between Bridget and me that is strongest with people who love her…but it’s within themselves. We had the opportunity to create Bridget on screen, but people were already in love with her. Bridget reminds us that it’s okay to be imperfect. You can still get the guy, still succeed and be happy when you’re just yourself. You’re okay being imperfect.”

Set your Valentine’s Day movie date with your loved one and Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy as it opens in Philippine theaters on February 12. Follow Universal Pictures PH (FB), UniversalPicturesPH (IG), and UniversalPicsPH (TikTok) for the latest updates.

About Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy

Two-time Academy Award® winner Renée Zellweger returns to the role that established a romantic-comedy heroine for the ages, a woman whose inimitable approach to life and love redefined an entire film genre.

Bridget Jones first blasted onto bookshelves in Helen Fielding’s literary phenomenon Bridget Jones’s Diary, which became a global bestseller and a blockbuster film. As a single career woman living in London, Bridget Jones not only introduced the world to her romantic adventures, but added “Singletons,” “Smug-Marrieds” and “f---wittage” into the global lexicon. Bridget’s ability to triumph despite adversity led her to finally marry top lawyer Mark Darcy and to become the mother of their baby boy. Happiness at last.

But in Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy, Bridget is alone once again, widowed four years ago, when Mark (Oscar® winner Colin Firth) was killed on a humanitarian mission in Sudan. She’s now a single mother to 9-year-old Billy and 4-year-old Mabel, and is stuck in a state of emotional limbo, raising her children with help from her loyal friends and even her former lover, Daniel Cleaver (Hugh Grant).

Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy is directed by acclaimed filmmaker Michael Morris (To Leslie, Better Call Saul), from a screenplay by BAFTA nominee Helen Fielding, based on her novel, with contributions from Emmy winner Abi Morgan (The Iron Lady, Eric) and Oscar® nominee Dan Mazer (I Give it A Year, Bridget Jones’s Baby).

The film is produced for Working Title by Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner, whose films, including The Danish Girl, Darkest Hour, Fargo, Les Misérables and The Theory of Everything, among others, have earned 14 Academy Awards® and six Best Picture nominations. The film is also produced by Jo Wallett (Wicked Little Letters, Catherine Called Birdy). The film is executive produced by Helen Fielding, Renée Zellweger, Amelia Granger and Sarah-Jane Wright. Working Title has produced all the Bridget Jones films.
