The IF movie starts off a bit slow, but it eventually builds up to some decent dramatic moments that pull at the heartstrings. While the first half may feel a bit uneven, the second half really shines with its emotional, colorful, and inspiring storytelling.
The film has a magical quality that transports you to a world of possibilities. The characters and their journeys are compelling, even if the overall narrative could have been tightened up in parts.
Written and Directed by John Krasinski, who I thought was excellent in "A Quiet Place". Starring Cailey Fleming, Ryan Reynolds, and a star-studded cast who voiced the several IFs. I do wished the filmmakers gave more story arcs to some of the IFs, and maybe made them more fun to be with, rather than just mysterious and emotional.
Despite its flaws, IF is an ambitious and thought-provoking movie that is worth watching, especially for fans of films that blend reality with a touch of the fantastical. It may not be a perfect cinematic experience, but it offers enough compelling moments to make it a worthwhile addition to your watchlist.
