So how would you manage a film where the main hero is nowhere ? Make different individuals from the cast move forward with their game. Add more characters, and compose a compelling story. That is how the movie makers managed the subsequent film. The film opens with the internment rituals of
T'Challa, giving an exceptional tribute for Chadwick Boseman.
From playing a supportive sister to the primary hero, Letitia Wright (Shuri) became up front and center of the sequel. She had the weight of conveying the obligations of Wakanda's protector, in the midst of the dangers that happened upon them.
Angela Bassett as Queen Ramonda gave a strong performance that Oscar buzz are now circulating. While Danai Gurira as Okoye and Lupita Nyong'o as Nakia
additionally gave profound depictions like we've never seen before.
It's refreshing to see the cinematic debut of Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne as Ironheart) as the MIT student who becomes the next bearer of an Ironman suit. Likewise the arrival of the main antagonist Namor (Tenoch Huerta). He's a very powerful villain/anti-hero that could really obliterate Wakanda and its citizens.
Director and Co-writer Ryan Coogler did a fantastic job as he weaves all these plot points in the aftermath of losing its main hero in the second installment. These stories were of course taken from the comic-book pages of Black Panther. The costumes, set design, and sound tracks are all excellent. I especially enjoyed the two songs performed by Rihanna - "Lift Me Up" and "Born Again". Stay for the mid-credits scene. You wouldn't want to miss this heart-warming scene that delivers an emotional punch.
